Drums of the Pacific Luau - Hyatt Regency Maui
This Maui luau is currently unavailable for booking on our site. Please visit our Maui luaus Hawaii page for other open luaus on Maui.
Held under the stars at the Sunset Terrace overlooking Ka'anapali Beach, Drums of the Pacific is a top Maui luau that takes you on a journey through the South Pacific. Listen to the beating of the drums, the sound of the conch shell and the echoes of a Hawaiian chant, which signals the start of the evening's festivities.
Take part in Hawaiian arts & crafts demonstrations, enjoy the impressive torch lighting ceremony and witness the traditional imu ceremony, in which the main dish, the kalua pua'a roast pig, is taken out of its underground oven. It will then be time for the luau feast, which features a wide variety of foods to satisfy all appetites.
Drums of the Pacific Luau also presents a Polynesian fashion show featuring exotic pareaus (sarong) worn in creative styles. After dinner, talented dancers and musicians will share with you the exciting stories of the voyages of brave explorers from the South Pacific. Enjoy authentic music and dances from Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, New Zealand and Rarotonga and an unforgettable fire-knife dance finale.
Luau Menu: Imu Kalua Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, Macadamia Nut Crust Island Fish, Polynesian Fried Rice, Seasonal Vegetables, Molokai Purple Sweet Potato, Creamed Taro Leaf with Coconut Milk, Soba Noodle Salad, Fresh Sliced Tropical Fruits, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Pacific Ahi Poke, Kauai Taro-Pounded Poi, Tossed Green Salad, Roasted Wedges of Maui Onions, Taro Rolls with Whipped Lilikoi Butter.
