🌺 Smith Family Garden Luau
Experience one of Kauai's most beloved luau traditions at the Smith Family Garden Luau, set within a lush tropical garden along the Wailua River. Your visit begins with a shell lei greeting and time to explore the 30-acre tropical gardens on foot or aboard a narrated tram tour. Before dinner, watch the traditional imu ceremony and learn how kalua pig is wrapped in ti leaves and slowly cooked in an underground oven.
The evening continues with a generous luau buffet featuring island favorites such as kalua pork, chicken adobo, teriyaki beef, mahi mahi, lomi salmon, salads, vegetables, rice and desserts.
After dinner, head to the torch-lit lagoon amphitheater for the Rhythms of Aloha show. This colorful production features music and dances from Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand, the Philippines and Japan, celebrating the many cultures that have influenced island life.

Luau guests are responsible for these fees, which are collected directly by the state via credit card only at the park entrance (no cash accepted). This fee covers your visit to Wailua River State Park sites at the Wailua River Marina, as well as Opaeka'a Falls, Poliahu Heiau, Kaumuali'i Park and Wailua Falls.
