Waikiki Luau at Rock-A-Hula Cabana

Waikiki Luau at Rock-A-Hula Cabana brings dinner, hula and island music into the heart of Waikiki. The luau is held at Royal Hawaiian Center, so you can enjoy a Hawaiian-style evening without a long drive across Oahu.

The schedule is shorter than many beach and resort productions. In about two hours, you receive a welcome Mai Tai, tableside dinner, live music, hula dancing and a Waikiki setting that leaves the rest of your night open after the show.

The evening begins with a luau welcome, Mai Tai and hula. Dinner is served at your table while island music plays, and the night includes hula dancing plus a hula lesson before the luau ends around 7:30 pm.

Royal Hawaiian Center Location

Royal Hawaiian Center is located in central Waikiki, close to many hotels, shops and restaurants. You can walk from many nearby properties, enjoy dinner and entertainment, then return to your hotel or continue your evening nearby.

This luau is designed for a compact Waikiki night. You get hula, island music and a Hawaiian-style meal without setting aside several extra hours for transportation to another part of the island.

Tableside Luau Dinner

Evening Schedule

5:45 pm: Luau welcome with Mai Tai and hula
6:00 pm: Luau dinner served to your table while a musician plays island tunes. Watch hula dancing and join a hula lesson.
7:30 pm: Luau ends

After the Luau

The 7:30 pm ending leaves time for a walk through Waikiki, shopping at Royal Hawaiian Center or another stop nearby. This can be a lighter evening when you have young children, an early tour the next morning or dinner-show plans that do not need to fill the whole night.

You also do not need a rental car if you are staying nearby. Royal Hawaiian Center can be reached on foot from many Waikiki hotels, or by a short ride from nearby properties.
